Underfoot Feel
We'll start with the midsole. An EExpure midsole provides a number of benefits. You should expect the midsole to provide a significant amount of energy return and feel light underneath your feet. Importantly, the midsole foam is very resilient. Ideal if you have long distance training runs and races to complete.
It is worth remembering that these NNormal trail running shoes are to help you run faster. The lug depth on the outsole is 3.5 mm.
Ground conditions can vary a lot during the course of a trail run. Helpfully, the outsole is made of Vibram® Litebase and Vibram® Megagrip. In short, the outsole is lightweight, highly durable and sticky. A sticky outsole is to help with grip on wet rock.
Upper Fit
A 'wrap tongue' provides a secure fit. Helping to hold your feet in place, which is an important feature when you may run on cambers and uneven ground.
A standout feature of the upper is the Matryx® material, which is woven from individually coated polyamide and Kevlar® yarns. If the midsole and the outsole are designed for longevity - the upper needs to be robust too.
While it doesn't influence the fit of the upper, the fabric dyeing process uses significantly less water than other dyeing processes.
Ideal Run Type
The NNormal Unisex Kjerag Trail Running Shoes are best suited to faster runs on mountainous trail runs. If you are looking for NNormal trail running shoes for running at slower speeds, we recommend considering the Tomir.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
