Details of the Garmin Edge MTB bike computer
Built for shredding: The extremely robust Edge MTB has been specially developed for gravity mountain bikers. Thanks to seven-button operation and Corning Gorilla, it is ready for any ride.
Enduro & Downhill MTB profiles: The Enduro MTB and Downhill MTB activity profiles provide all the data you need for your ride. In the Enduro profile, you can see your altitude and depth meters for the run and the entire activity. The Downhill profile saves a lap as soon as you finish your descent and get on the lift or a shuttle.
5 Hertz GPS recording: The 5 Hz GPS recording records your track in the Enduro and Downhill MTB profile with 5 data points per second. This gives you an even more precise track recording and split times can be measured even more accurately.
Split times: Set start and time measuring points along a trail and compare your performance based on the split times between the measuring points. This allows you to draw conclusions about the fastest line and improve from run to run.
Pre-installed Trailforks MTB map: Use the pre-installed Trailforks MTB map with integrated trail network to find new trails in your area.use the pre-installed Trailforks MTB map with integrated trail network to find new trails in your area.
ForkSight: ForkSight provides you with detailed information on the distance to the trail as well as its length, elevation gain and loss and difficulty.
Long battery life: With a battery life of up to 14 hours of demanding use with active navigation, paired sensors and much more, you don't have to worry about shredding. In energy-saving mode, you even get up to 26 hours of battery life.
MTB dynamics: MTB dynamics with grit, flow & jump analysis provide all the data you need to analyze your run even more accurately.
Key features of the Garmin Edge MTB bike computer
Multi-frequency: High-precision route recording thanks to multi-frequency reception of global satellite systems (GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO) - even in narrow mountain valleys or urban canyons.
Smart functions: Smart notifications, weather information, LiveTrack and customization options via Connect IQ.
Settings via app: Device settings - including data fields - are easy to make directly on the Edge or via smartphone in the Garmin Connect app with real-time synchronization.
Bike Alarm & Find my Edge: Be alerted if your bike is moved while you are away and the option to find the last position of your Edge if it is lost in a fall.
Garmin Share: Share your planned routes, workouts and locations quickly and easily with other compatible Garmin devices.
ClimbPro™: With the proven ClimbPro function - even without a previously loaded route - you receive information about upcoming climbs with details on the gradient, remaining distance and altitude of the climb. So you can manage your strength perfectly.
Bike navigation: Comprehensive navigation functions with information on busy, paved or unpaved roads on the pre-installed Garmin bike map. Lost your way? Thanks to route recalculation on the most popular roads and paths, you can quickly get back on track.
Trendline™ Popularity map: The Trendline Popularity map overlay uses billions of kilometers of Garmin Connect data to help you find the most popular routes for your activity. You can display the heatmap information directly on the map of your Edge.
Community danger spots: Share information on danger spots with the community and get more tips on potholes or obstacles. Danger spots are also displayed in the Edge route planner so that you can plan routes more safely in advance.
Automatic accident notification: While the bike computer and phone are paired, your current location can be sent to your emergency contacts in the event of an accident - off-road or on the road. If you have joined a GroupRide, all other GroupRide participants will also be informed about the incident.
GroupRide: GroupRide makes it easy to organize group rides. Share the route and stay in contact with all participants during the ride, receive accident notifications, compare yourself in leaderboards and win awards.
Training planning: Easy training plan synchronization with Garmin Connect, TrainingPeaks® or TrainerRoad with reminders to catch up on missed workouts. Alternatively, you can receive individual training suggestions directly on the Edge every day.
E-bike routing: The e-bike routing takes into account the battery charge level, the selected support and the range of your e-bike. At the start of your tour, you will receive information on whether the planned route can be completed with the battery level of your paired e-bike. As you are riding with changing support levels and the battery does not discharge evenly, you will receive continuous updates on whether your e-bike has enough power for your route.
Electronic drivetrains: Until now, electronic shifting groupsets from SRAM could only display data such as battery status, gears or gear ratio. With the introduction of the new SRAM RED AXS, it is now possible to operate data pages and settings of the Edge via the shift levers. This has already been possible with SHIMANO Di2 groupsets for several years.
Varia™ compatibility: Pair your Varia Radar for more safety while cycling. This allows you to detect vehicles from a distance of up to 140 meters and draw attention to yourself with the bright rear light.
inReach™ compatible: Stay in touch with your friends even without mobile phone reception. Share your location or send an SOS emergency call via the Iridium satellite network to the 24/7 manned Garmin Response™ Center.
